Pavers are the most practical hardscape surface available on the Westside, and they are what we recommend for most driveways. Block pavers and cobblestone sit on a flexible base, which means they move with the ground instead of cracking against it, and any single unit can be lifted and reset years later without a visible repair. We install paver driveways, patios, walkways, pool decks, and motor courts, in concrete block pavers, clay brick, and reclaimed or new cobblestone. The base is where the job is won or lost, so that is where we spend the time and where our quotes are more detailed than most.

How long do pavers last?
Quality paver installation lasts 25 to 50 years. Concrete pavers and brick pavers are both extremely durable, and individual pavers can be replaced if damaged, which is a major advantage over poured concrete.
Do pavers need to be sealed?
Paver sealing is recommended every 2 to 3 years to protect against staining, fading, and weed growth between joints. It also enhances colour and makes cleaning easier.
Are pavers better than concrete for a driveway?
Paver driveways handle freeze-thaw cycles better than concrete because the joints allow slight movement without cracking. They also offer better drainage and are easier to repair, since you replace individual pavers instead of redoing the whole slab.
Will weeds grow between the pavers?
Far less than people expect. Polymeric sand hardens in the joint and blocks most germination, and sealing every few years handles the rest. What does appear pulls out of the joint rather than rooting into a base.
