Brentwood work tends to be detail-driven. The houses are larger, the landscape architects are often already involved, and the expectation is that masonry is executed to a drawing rather than improvised on site. That suits us. We work comfortably from plans, we mock up stone and mortar before committing to an elevation, and our crew chiefs deal with architects and designers directly. North of San Vicente the lots start to climb, so retaining walls and terracing enter the picture alongside the finish work.

What We Build in Brentwood

Full-bed stone veneer facades and entry surrounds, cut stone steps, and cobblestone motor courts. Flagstone terraces and pool decks laid to a designer's pattern. Engineered retaining walls on the canyon-side lots, usually stone-faced so the structure disappears. Outdoor fireplaces and kitchens built into covered loggias. On the older estates we do restoration brick work as well, including tuckpointing and rebuilding chimneys and garden walls that predate most of the street.

On these houses thin veneer gives itself away at every corner. We quote full-bed stone where the design allows and explain the cost difference honestly.

Slope on the north side

Lots above Sunset frequently need engineered walls and terracing. Same rules as the Palisades: drawings, drainage, and inspections.
