Commercial Masonry Contractors in Santa Monica

We work for property managers, general contractors, HOAs, and business owners across the Westside on masonry that has to meet a schedule and survive public use. That covers structural block work, storefront facades in brick and stone, courtyard and plaza hardscape, trash enclosures, planters and seat walls, ADA-compliant stairs and ramps, and the ongoing repair programme that keeps an older commercial building from turning a small mortar problem into a large one. We carry commercial general liability and workers compensation, we work off drawings and RFIs when a GC needs us to, and we can phase work after hours so a tenant stays open.

Why GCs and Managers Call Us

Commercial work rewards the boring virtues. We show up when the schedule says, we submit what the architect asked for, we keep the site safe and swept for the public walking past it, and we do not disappear mid-project onto a bigger job. Our crew chiefs read drawings and handle inspections directly rather than routing everything through an office. Because we self-perform brick, block, stone, concrete, and stucco, a single contract covers the whole masonry scope instead of four subs blaming each other. Licensed, bonded, and insured, with certificates and references available before you award anything.

Commercial Situations We Handle

A tenant improvement needs masonry

New storefront openings, infill, planters, and entry work on a fixed schedule, coordinated with the rest of the TI trades.

The building envelope is deteriorating

Failing mortar joints, spalling brick, and cracked stucco on an older commercial building. Repointing and repair on a planned cycle costs a fraction of deferred failure.

Common areas need to be safe

Cracked walkways, trip hazards, failing stairs, and non-compliant handrails carry liability. We repair or rebuild to current code.

The property needs to look current

Facade refresh in brick or stone veneer, new courtyard hardscape, and refinished entries do more for leasing than most interior spend.

How We Run Commercial Work

1. Walk-through and scope

We walk the property with you or the GC, review drawings if they exist, and return a written scope with unit pricing where the extent is not yet known.

2. Submittals and permits

Samples, mock-ups, and product data submitted as required, permits pulled, and inspections scheduled around your operating hours.

3. Phased execution

Work sequenced so access, parking, and tenant operations keep functioning. Night and weekend phasing available where the site demands it.

4. Closeout

Punch walk with the manager or superintendent, final clean, and documentation for your records. Maintenance recommendations in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you licensed and insured for commercial work?

Yes. We carry a California contractor licence, commercial general liability, and workers compensation, and we can be bonded for the project. Certificates and additional-insured endorsements are provided before mobilisation.

Can you work after hours to keep our tenants open?

Yes. A large share of our commercial work is phased for evenings, weekends, or off-season windows. We agree the sequence and the access plan before the contract is signed.

Do you work from architect drawings?

Regularly. We handle submittals, mock-ups, RFIs, and special inspection coordination, and our crew chiefs read drawings on site rather than relying on an office to interpret them.

How do you price commercial repair work?

Defined scopes are quoted flat-rate. Where the extent of deterioration is unknown until we open the wall, we price by unit so you are never exposed to an open-ended time-and-materials bill.
